For this month’s Lulu Loves we spoke to Maria Joudina-Robinson, the founder and editor-in-chief of Puss Puss Magazine. We recently collaborated with Maria and the team on shoot showcasing our SS20 collection and thought it made sense to get to know her a little better!
WHAT PROJECTS ARE CURRENTLY KEEPING YOU UP AT NIGHT?
"The next print issue of PUSS PUSS Magazine that is due out in April - so much to do and so little time, everything is last minute again but I know it will all come together at the end."
WHAT KIND OF KID WERE YOU?
IS THIS WHAT YOU ALWAYS WANTED TO DO WHEN YOU GREW UP?
"I actually wanted to be a fashion designer growing up but I didn’t get accepted onto the course I applied for, so I guess life sent me on a slightly different route that eventually lead me into the fashion world, but from a different side. "
BEST ADVICE YOU'VE BEEN GIVEN?
"Whatever happens is always for the best – even failures and things not working out the way we want them to, it just means it wasn’t meant to be or wasn’t the right time and everything will eventually fall in its right place."
WHAT DOES A PERFECT DAY OFF LOOK LIKE FOR YOU?
"A perfect day off is when I don’t have to make any plans! I have to be quite organised in my day to day life so I really enjoy having the luxury of just going with the flow sometimes - if it means staying in and reading a book or watching a movie it can be just as perfect as going to a gallery or having an amazing meal."
CAN YOU TELL US ABOUT AN UNFORGETTABLE MEAL/PLAY BOOK/FILM YOU'VE EXPERIENCED RECENTLY AND SIMPLY HAVE
TO SHARE...
"I had an amazing meal at Angelina’s - a Japanese & Italian fusion restaurant in Dalston. It sounds like a strange combination but was absolutely delicious, I would recommend the tasting menu and their cocktails are great too!"
"WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST LULU MEMORY/MOMENT?
The iconic lips clutch of course :)"
What's new?
